EWS Eligibility Criteria

  • Must belong to General category (not SC/ST/OBC-NCL).
  • Family annual gross income below ₹8 lakh per year.
  • Family must not own more than 5 acres of agricultural land.
  • Must not own a residential flat of 1000 sq ft or above.
  • EWS certificate must be issued fresh each year from SDM/Tehsildar.
  • EWS reservation: 10% supernumerary seats in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, IITs.
